Poland’s oldest beer brand, Tyskie Gronie, is the latest brewed-at-source beer to jet into the UK market.
Importer Pierhead Purchasing is adding the 5.6% abv premium lager, which will be available in 330ml, 500ml and 650ml bottles, to its international beer portfolio.
Pierhead’s director of imported beers, Michael Cook, said: “The fact that major UK lager brands are starting to lose market share is indicative of the fact that consumers are starting to be far more discerning in selecting their beer.
“Demand for brewed-at-source
beers is at an all-time high and Tyskie gives consumers the chance to enjoy an authentic foreign beer from a country with years of brewing tradition.”
The beer has been brewed in the Polish town of Tychy since 1629.
