Tasting sessions to encourage consumers to think beyond the pork chop have been held to support a major promotion on Pork.
Ladies in Pigs (LIPS) organised the events to back up the British Meat Love Pork' campaign to promote the versatility and ease of cooking the meat.
The campaign is being driven by the Meat and Livestock Commission and an on-pack promotion has been devised to run across the multiple sector with special packs featuring a Love Pork' logo and offering a free recipe book.
The LIPS group used the tasting sessions, held across the West Midlands to encourage consumers to think beyond traditional uses.
Chairwoman Francis Slade said: "We're delighted that British Meat is supporting pork with its Love Pork' campaign. We wanted to show consumers just how easy and versatile pork is."
