Super-sized ducklings are proving a big hit for one Norfolk based producer with sales up 40%. Manor Farm Ducklings said it is experiencing increasing demand for its new larger sized frozen ducklings.
The company is now rearing ducks to larger weights of around 3kg and higher, primarily to meet demand from the UK foodservice sector. It claimed sales of 2.8kg, 3kg and 3.2kg ducks were increasing fastest.
The company is also hoping for festive success with its Free Range Breckland Duckling, an outdoor reared bird which Manor Farm said is perfectly suited to the special occasion meal.
