The Grocer's marketing reporters have been having a smashing time thanks to the PR team behind St Ivel's Utterly Butterly spread. A consignment of bright yellow mugs was delivered to our offices last week, part of a stunt kindly inviting us to see the dairy giant's wing-walking bi-plane team in action at events around the country. Unfortunately, as our picture only too clearly shows, the invitation did not quite go according to plan ­ all but two of the 10 vessels were somewhat damaged in the post. "I'm gutted ­ we wrapped them up really well," a well-intentioned spokeswoman at Thorpe PR told us when we phoned to relay the mishap. "We thought it was a great way of grabbing your attention."
