Premier Foods is aiming to put life back into its veteran Sun-Pat peanut butter brand with three new varieties.
Sun-Pat Choc Chip has a 25% chocolate content and is
set to hit shelves in March, along with Super Smooth and Extra Crunchy.
Group marketing director Howard Beveridge said only 27% of households bought peanut butter last year, so the aim was to attract new consumers, as well as encouraging existing users to trade up from own label.
A 284g jar of Choc Chip and 340g sizes of Super Smooth and Extra Crunchy are all priced at £1.45.
