Family-owned wine merchant Unwins is seeking an external chief executive for the first time in its 160-year history after the abrupt departure of David Wetz, one of the 90 family members who control the company.

Up to 100 defendants accused of being involved in excise fraud could have their convictions overturned and seek compensation - costing the taxpayer £100m in legal fees.
