Nestlé is introducing price- marked packaging to some of its biggest-selling chocolate bars to boost sales in independent stores.

Toffee Crisp, Yorkie Milk, Aero Peppermint Medium and Bubbles, and selected Kit Kat variants will feature 45p flashes from this week in indies ­for as long as stocks last.

"Price-marked packs are proven to drive rate of sale, which is not surprising given that 40% of convenience shoppers say they would be encouraged to buy a price-marked pack over a non-price marked pack," said Graham Walker, Nestlé UK trade communications manager.
