Asda has kicked off a new round of fuel price cuts just two weeks after supermarkets slashed fuel prices by up to 5p a litre.
From tomorrow, Asda will cut diesel by up to 2p per litre to 126.7ppl, and unleaded petrol will fall by up to 1p per litre to 123.7ppl.
Sainsbury ’s was quick to respond by dropping diesel by up to 2p per litre and unleaded petrol by 1p per litre.
Tesco said this afternoon it would cut diesel and unleaded petrol by 1p a litre, although some of its filling stations would go further by cutting diesel by 2ppl.
Today’s moves on price follow Sainsbury’s decision on 30 September to cut petrol and diesel prices by up to 5p per litre across its estate. Its cuts were rapidly matched by Tesco and Asda.
