The Dutch continued to report the retail market as "excellent" this week, although bulk has not been so buoyant ­ "just ticking over" and slow in some areas.
There are shortages in Holland, leading to "clear decks, with no stock". Prices are up, and are expected to rise again next week.
Meanwhile, the Danes reported trade as quiet, with no price increases imminent, and the calm of Februaryitis' continuing. However they reported that there was the possibility of prices firming up in the next couple of weeks.
The British reported prices as firmer, mainly as a result of lower levels of stocking and short supply. The market was not demand led. Bellies were particularly firm.
