The meatballs, available in tomato & herb, spicy tomato and rich gravy sauces (rsp: 89p for 410g), are the first on the market to contain pure beef, which is sourced from Brazil.
Princes International Trading marketing director Neil Brownbill claimed research had revealed a gap in the market for quality meatballs. “All the other canned meatballs on the market are pork-based and tend to be aimed specifically at children. We’re bringing back quality.”
A Strips of Beef product is also being launched by Princes and is available in black bean & ginger, black pepper and Mexican-style sauces. The 220g cans have an rsp of 99p.
