Procter & Gamble is temporarily ditching Pringles’ popular strapline ‘Once you pop you can’t stop’ in favour of ‘Every party starts with a pop!’ as it gears up for the festive season.
The new strapline will be rolled out this month in time for Bonfire Night on November 5 until the end of the Christmas and new year season as part of P& G’s £2m ‘Pringles Party’ campaign to reinforce the snack brand’s credentials as the ideal party food.
The catchphrase makeover will be supported by a £2m marketing spend including radio promotions and TV advertising from November 15, while Pringles tubes will feature fun, streamer covered packaging.
P&G’s trade marketing manager, Paul Lettice, said: “In a competitive market, it is essential to stay one step ahead of the competition with innovative and creative ideas. We believe this latest initiative indicates our cutting edge in this field.”
