In a response to the interest in e-commerce the Horticultural Export Bureau, which represents major English salad and vegetable suppliers, has opened its own web site: Suppliers will be able to display their own logo and company profile with a hotlink to their own web site and sales team. Manager Tim Mudge explains that while buyers will not be able to trade they will be able to get in direct contact. There are plans to provide translations of other languages. Meanwhile, the Dublin based online net marketplace, has extended its reach into several major European production areas through opening offices in the UK, Holland, France, Spain and Italy.
