Drinks group Pernod Ricard has reported a 30% increase in full-year net profit to E831m (£582m) on sales up 6.2% at E6.4bn (£4.5bn).

Figures were boosted by strong growth in the wine and spirits market across all regions, particularly in emerging countries.

“The dynamism of our brands, the strength of our distribution network and the good start of the new financial year in July and August, in particular for the premium brands allow us to begin the financial year with confidence, while keeping a watchful eye on business environment developments,” said chairman and CEO Patrick Ricard.
