Rachel's Organic Dairy is launching its own brand of organic milk nationwide following a successful doorstep selling pilot across 10,000 homes. The milk has been trialled by Sainsbury and Tesco in the south east with further roll-outs planned, said the company. It is the latest move towards branching out the family-owned organic business even further. It already makes yogurts, cream and creme fraiche. The company, which has its origins in three generationsof farmers on the family farm in Brynllys near Aberystwyth, also brought out an organic Welsh butter last autumn. The new milk carries the Rachel's logo and distinctive black signature colour, rsp: 45p, pint; 79p, litre. Company founder Rachel Rowlands said: "I am truly delighted that our range now includes fresh organic milk as I am passionate about promoting the importance of organic milk in a healthy, balanced diet. "I hope it will help raise the profile and image of organic milk, increasing consumption, especially among young children and families. "The Rachel's Organic Brand is well recognised and respected by consumers. "This provides a firm foundation and opportunity to increase overall demand for organic milk, thereby supporting organic farming, the environment and consumer choice." {{P&P }}
