Paula Radcliffe has been dropped from an advertising campaign for the Quaker Oatso Simple brand.

The runner, who pulled out of the marathon and the 10,000 metres in the Athens Olympics had been expected to star in the cereal brand’s campaign which featured the slogan, “It helps you go the distance.”

Both PepsiCo, the parent company of Quaker Oats, and Radcliffe’s spokespeople deny that the decision was linked to her failure to win a medal in the Olympics, according to newspaper reports.
