There’s bizarre news for stargazing fruit-lovers in today’s edition of The Guardian, which claims the basic building blocks of existence taste of raspberries.

In a boost to the hairy fruit, a giant dust cloud at the heart of our galaxy contains something called ethyl formate – the chemical that gives raspberries their flavour. It might seem a tad far-fetched but would perhaps explain why experts believe the universe is expanding rapidly outwards from its central point – a (raspberry) ripple effect, if you will.
