Cola big guns Diet Coke and Pepsi are stepping up their promotional activity, with money and football the respective themes.
Diet Coke will focus on a limited edition silver bottle and cash prize promotion while its rival is teaming up with European footballing giants Real Madrid for a global licensing deal.
The Coca-Cola brand's new livery, on shelf next week until the end of September, is its first packaging change and the instant-win promotion will be its biggest ever in the UK.
Purchasers can win a £100,000 spending spree, with 50 prizes of £1,000 also up for grabs. Support comes in the form of a nationwide poster campaign and press advertising featuring the strapline Money is the root of all evil? I'll take my chances'.
