Tesco has introduced a range of 10 Wensleydale cheeses in local stores across Yorkshire.

The range will be sold across 27 stores and is produced by hand at Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes.

The range features a variety called Garsdale, an ancient recipe which has only just been rediscovered in an old recipe book, Tesco claimed.

Mike Seymour, cheese buyer, said: “The Wensleydale cheese is a Yorkshire delicacy that is popular across all our stores, although Yorkshire customers have a special place in their shopping trolleys for it.”
