It has been an unpredictable year for the alcoholic drinks industry. While some lager brands, such as Stella Artois and Foster’s, have struggled this year, the past 12 months have been a success for Carling and, most notably, Carlsberg.
In the cider category, Strongbow and Scrumpy Jack have had a good year at the expense of White Lightning.
The RTD market continues to decline, with all top five brands dropping in value, while spirits continue to show healthy growth.
Wine companies remain the biggest winners, with all top five brands showing strong growth.
