The company, Northern Ireland's biggest food processor and part of the Brazilian Marfrig Group, turned a pre-tax loss of £38.3m in 2008 into a profit of £18.3m in 2009, according to results filed at Companies House this week. Turnover increased 5.1% to £780.6m.
During the past two years, Moy Park had undergone a major reorganisation and restructuring programme, the directors said in their report.
"Moy Park is well positioned to ... achieve its future strategic goal to become a leading food company within the UK and Europe," they said.
The business had invested strongly in upgrading technologies and processing standards, they added.
In August, Moy Park acquired fellow Northern Irish poultry processor O'Kane Poultry.
