Unilever Bestfoods is again courting controversy for its Pot Noodle brand with a new ad for TV which incorporates ‘the office bike’.

Part of a £1.3m campaign, the ad will be supported by 10-second teaser executions with a saucy voiceover and risqué sound effects.

Unilever said it had consulted the Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre and will air the 10-sec ad after 7.30pm and the 50-sec execution after 11pm.

In 2002 advertising watchdogs banned a poster ad for Pot Noodle’s ‘Slag’ campaign.
