In the year to end April 1, the dairy group also said that turnover had increased 16.2% to £568.6m.
Volumes of liquid milk sold increased 14.2% during the year to 1.38 billion, while sales volumes for the second half-year were 690 million litres.
The group added that it had secured extra business from Somerfield during the year and from next month would start supplying milk to c-store chain One Stop.
Last week the group also secured planning permission for a new dairy in Bridgwater, Somerset.
Alan Wiseman, chairman of Robert Wiseman Dairies, said: “Given the period of change within the business, we are pleased with the financial results for the group.”
He added: “Against a backdrop of high oil costs, we remain optimistic about the outlook for our business, and look to a period of further stability within the sector and to maintaining the recovery in our operating margins in the period ahead.”
