Sainsbury's is to start selling milk in recycled plastic pouches.

The pouches, which are stored within a reusable plastic jug and will hit stores on Wednesday, have been produced in partnership with Dairy Crest and will reduce milk packaging waste by 75%, according to The Times.

Sainsbury's is the second supermarket to launch milk in a bag. Waitrose introduced its own version in February in partnership with Welsh organic dairy Calon Wen.
