Sainsbury’s is aiming to beat summer boredom with a bumper book for kids

Sainsbury’s has launched the Bumper Book of Summer to give kids and parents ideas to keep busy over the summer holiday.

The book (£5) includes more than 60 craft, nature and activity ideas as well as 20 recipes, a DVD, wallchart, scrapbook and stickers.

It will be supported by a ‘Boredom Busters campaign’ featuring a 30-second TV ad of kids having fun during the summer holidays.

There is also an accompanying website and in-store activities including treasure hunts using point-of-sale signage.

On 24 July, Sainsbury’s will be running a Nectar Double Value Exchange when shoppers can redeem points worth double their value in exchange for a voucher to help make days out and activities more affordable.
