Sainsbury’s kicks off its summer TV advertising campaign tonight (20 June).
The ad focuses on ‘Simple Pleasures’ and tells the story of two boys who make friends and spend the summer holidays together.
Sainsbury’s said the ad, which breaks tonight during Coronation Street on ITV, showed there were simple things youngsters could do over the summer holidays that didn’t mean parents had to spend lots of money keeping them entertained.
“This campaign marks the next chapter for Live Well For Less, showing customers that we’re committed to helping them enjoy the good things in life,” said Sainsbury’s marketing director Sarah Warby.
“The summer holidays can be particularly expensive, especially for many customers with families, but at Sainsbury’s they can enjoy competitive prices without compromising on quality or values.”
The retailer will be hoping the ad will be as successful as its Live Well for Less ad campaign last year. That featured a father and son going to the beach and was well received by consumers.
