Sainsbury’s looks set to open its second standalone pharmacy, in major London hospital Guy’s and St Thomas’.
The supermarket is advertising a number of jobs for the pharmacy, including pharmacist, dispensing technician and lead technician.
“We are the preferred bidder to provide outpatient pharmacy services at Guy’s and St Thomas’,” a spokesman confirmed. “Until the agreement has been finalised we are not able to comment further.”
Sainsbury’s opened its first standalone pharmacy in a hospital in February this year, at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. It has about 250 pharmacies in its supermarkets across the UK.
