Sainsbury’s looks set to launch a new product that could save shoppers a lot of washing-up.
The supermarket has trademarked the name ‘Cupquiche’ under class 30, which covers savoury pastries.
It is understood to be a mix allowing consumers to make a quiche in a cup and cook it in the microwave. The retailer has a Cuppa Cake mix, launched in September 2011, which makes two chocolate cakes in a mug just by adding an egg and water. Sainsbury’s would not comment on the move.
