McCormick Foods aims to capitalise on growth in the chilled salad market with a new range of Schwartz seasonings, dressing mixes and toppings. On shelf next month, the range includes four dressing mixes in sachets (rsp: 49p, four servings) which are designed to be blended with oil and vinegar or mayonnaise. Four pots of shake-over' seasonings (79p) and a drum of Crunchy Bacon Bits (£1.49) complete the offering. Flavour combinations include Zesty Lemon & Lime, Hot & Spicy Tomato, and Coriander, Lime and Garlic. Pack design aims for a fresh, sophisticated image. A company spokeswoman said chilled salads were now year-round products showing value growth of 12.3% year-on-year. She added that sachet and pot formats were easier to store than bottled dressings. {{P&P }}
