Former Olympic athlete Sally Gunnell has made her highest profile appearance yet on behalf of British Chicken Marketing.

Last week she led a flock of runners dressed in giant chicken costumes for a 5km run around London. It was the official launch of a sponsorship tie-up between BCM and the British Heart Foundation, which gives growers the right to put BHF stickers on packs of skinless British chicken breasts. Promotional packs will appear in June, and promise a 5p donation to BHF for each one sold.

The aim is to raise £150,000 for the charity over the next 12 months to help fund BHF heart nurses.
