South-African based Savanna Cider has appointed Anthony Mills as head of marketing to oversee the brand's expansion.
In his new role, Mills is charged with consolidating and building on Savanna's positioning and sales in the UK and developing the European market.
Mills, a native New Zealander, has stepped into the newly created role after three years as general manager for sales and marketing at New Zealand wine company Cable Bay.
Prior to this he was European manager for Wingara Wines and has worked as marketing manager UK for Taylor's Port.
He has held senior sales positions at Kellogg's, Heinz and Heineken.
Savanna Cider hit the UK market in 2005 through a pilot scheme in Tesco stores and has subsequently been introduced in retailers across the country, including Sainsbury's, Somerfield, Spar and Threshers. Its first advertising campaign in the UK was launched in November.
