Bradford-based crisps company Seabrook is gearing up for its first marketing campaign, which heralds a distribution push outside its northern heartland.

It is spending £2m on TV, press and outdoor poster advertising, set to kick off in the autumn, with the aim of boosting the brand's profile nationwide.

Developed by creative agency Propaganda, activity will focus on Seabrook's northern roots and the traditional values associated with its heritage and quality.

The company's crinkle cut range is cooked in sunflower oil and spans 19 flavours, including bacon & brown sauce, Canadian ham, chicken & stuffing and roasted garlic. It has listings in all the major multiples, with a strong presence in the Yorkshire and Lancashire area.

MD Greg Kopacz said the campaign was a significant step for the family business.
