Seafish has launched five new guides to help consumers shop more responsibly for seafood.

The industry body has produced the online publications to educate consumers, journalists and the public on the key issues facing the industry. Topics include sustainability and responsible sourcing, discards, marine protected areas and the Responsible Fishing Scheme.

It had already created 2o sustainability guides on the UK's most popular fish, and has now added brill/turbot, lemon sole, ling, megrim and pollack.
