The UK turkey sector is being given the opportunity to shine in the 2004 British Turkey Awards.
The competition, now in its seventh year, will look for the retailer who is best at meeting modern consumer demands.
Kim Burgess, chairman of the British Turkey Sector Group publicity and marketing committee, said: “The awards will reflect the way retailers are responding to shoppers’ new appetite for convenience cuts.”
She said the seasonal category was growing away from Christmas to include barbecue, Easter and Chinese new year.
The winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at Claridges, London, on September 23.
