Packaging innovations to increase shelf presence were one of the main trends at this year’s London International Wine & Spirits Fair.
Distributor Vinoceros showcased a bright and eye-catching new Argentinian brand
from its Bodegas Lavaque label called Quara, meaning Llama, which comprises five single varietals with a different colour representing each wine.
Bold and colourful packaging was also displayed by Raisin Social with Mancico, its new Spanish range from Verde Marte.
Another Chilean brand, Anakena, launched a premium range - ONA - at the event (rsp: £9.99), which used simple and striking packaging to establish its shelf presence, rather than colour. Anakena spokeswoman Marcela Herrera, said: “The brand has had huge growth in the UK, which was aided by last year’s rebranding.”
