Own label crisps and snacks manufacturer Snackhouse has stopped trading after receivers failed to find a buyer interested in taking it on as a going concern. Almost 350 staff have lost their jobs. Administrative receiver Hunter Kelly accepted offers for the plant and machinery of Snackhouse's main plant in Kirkham and the assets and businesses of subsidiaries K Snackfoods and Country Harvest Foods. Kelly said: "It is a highly regrettable and sad day for Snackhouse and its employees. Our aim had been to sell the business as a going concern but unfortunately this has not proved possible." {{NEWS }}
