Snacking products were to the fore at the judging of this year’s Dried Fruit New Products Awards. It was the most popular category for entries and four made it onto the final shortlist: Whitworths’ The Mix; Soreen Go fruity cereal bar; Traidcraft Geobar; and Whitworths Sunny Raisin Nuggets.

Marks & Spencer dominates the luxury category, with its snack bars and Champagne pudding both making the shortlist along with Farmhouse Fare’s luxury chocolate pudding.

Honest Wheat Free Poducts, Farmhouse Fare and The Village Bakery make it onto the shortlist for alternative lifestyle. The health shortlist features Crazy Jack organic soft fruits, luxury muesli from Capespan and Sundora Foods’ ready to eat organic fruits. In convenience, Bar Foods pork hock compote, Truuuly Scrumptious organic baby food and a stuffing for Morrisons by Walkers Midshire Foods were all shortlisted.

Winners will be revealed at the Dried Fruit Ball on December 3. There’s also prizes for best new use of dried vine fruit and for the overall winner.
