US soft drink makers, including Pepsi and Coca-Cola, have agreed to restrict the sale of their products in US schools.

The producers agreed to withdraw their products from elementary schools and curb sales in middle and high schools.

As part of the agreement, only water and fruit juice will be sold at elementary schools, full-sugar soft drinks will not be sold in middle schools during the day and vending machines in high schools will ensure that no more than half of the choices available are soft drinks.
