Del Monte claims its new drinks brand will stimulate kids’ brain cells as well as their tastebuds.

The ambient Fruit Burst range - rolling out to Tesco this week - contains a mix of vitamins B5, B6, B12 and folic acid, and is being pitched as a product to help fight tiredness and therefore aid children’s learning.

Fruit Burst, to be sold in four flavours in 200ml six-carton multipacks and one-litre cartons, will enter more retailers over the coming months.
