Heinz is launching a range of 100% fruit smoothies for babies.

Available in Pear & Apple and Apricot & Pear (rsp: 89p/180ml) from next week in plastic screw-top bottles, they provide babies with two of their five-a-day and are free from sugar, artificial flavours, colours and preservatives.

Sales of Heinz wet baby food were outpaced by more recent entrants to the market last year but its RTD baby juice saw strong growth of 17.4% to £6m [Nielsen 52w/e 1 October 2011].
