Juice brand Sunmagic is hoping to shake up the soft drinks category with a new drink positioned as a healthy snack for adults and children on the go.
Fruit2day is currently distributed in Germany and The Netherlands but has secured listings with Arkay Chilled, Simple Simon and Central Supplies to distribute the drink in the UK from this month.
The beverage uses a unique manufacturing process that suspends segments of fruit in a juice and puree blend to ensure a piece of fruit is consumed with every mouthful, instead of floating to the bottom of the bottle.
The drink – the first chilled offering from Sunmagic – counts as a five-a-day portion and is designed to appeal to those looking for an easy way to consume fruit and snack healthily.
Priced at £1.29 RSP for 200ml bottles, Fruit2day is available in two flavours: Mangoes, Peaches & Apples; and Raspberries, Grapes & Pears.
Sunmagic brand manager Razin Ali said: “This is a new, healthy way to encourage more people to enjoy fruit especially primary school children, because one in four is overweight or obese.
“This is a unique opportunity for retailers to offer their customers an innovative new product that brings an exciting new way of consuming fruit as part of a healthy diet.”
