A Spanish wine brand famed for its 50-year-old bull icon has brought out a variant to offer an alternative to New World rosé brands during the UK's key summer period.

The Osborne Group of Spain is launching a Rosado to join its four-strong Osborne Solaz range, priced at £4.99. The wine has been macerated for 16 hours at a low temperature to produce a bright raspberry colour and tropical fruit aromas, according to the company.

Winemaker Cesar Fernandez said: "Last year saw huge growth for Spanish Rosado in the UK, with more than 50% growth. We have been working on a Rosado made from Spain's indigenous Temperanillo, and we're delighted with the 2005 vintage."
