Spar has launched two limited-edition cake lines for Easter.

A four-pack of Cupcakes and a six-pack of Chocolate Crispies rolled out to stores on Thursday (7 March), both price-marked at £1. Their launch is being promoted through PoS, in-store radio and online activity.

Spar’s limited-edition cake range has generated sales of £250,000 since launching last summer.

“Our own-label range is growing and improving in quality continually and customers are buying into the Spar brand more than ever, as they can see it offers them great value, quality products benchmarked against our key competitors,” said Spar brand director Susan Darbyshire.

“The limited-edition cake range forms an integral part of our strategy as it changes with each event and creates interest in store,” she added.
