Bulmers is turning up the heat in the bottled drinks market with the launch of Strongbow Spice. The mix of cider and spices is aimed at the flavoured alcoholic beverages (FABs) sector, which Bulmers said is currently growing at 57%. Consumer research had identified spices as a perfect partner to cider, added a spokesman. The resulting product is made from Strongbow, ginger, cinnamon, juniper, and a zest of orange and lemon. Bulmers is putting £1m behind next month's launch with advertising campaigns in the trade press and instore activity. Consumer campaigns will follow later. Rsp for the 5.3% abv brand, which will come in 275ml bottles, will be between £1.29 and £1.49 in the take home sector and around £2 in the on-trade. {{DRINKS }}
