The contracts are set to create 30 new jobs and push turnover up £4.5m, a rise of 50%. New four-slice packs of hot smoked salmon and packs of flaked salmon are hitting stores now, with the newcomers forecast to ring up £3.5m for Spink, part of the Dawnfresh Seafoods group.
Meanwhile, three new chilled trout products from Spink a ready-to-eat pâté; butterfly fillets with lemon, parsley & black pepper; and portions of trout with prawns, chilli & coriander are going into Marks & Spencer, with sales expected to be worth £1m to Spink in year one.
Spink said it had invested £300,000 in new processing equipment and improving production lines for the two contracts.
The newly created jobs will take Spink's total workforce to 150.
