There has not been much to shout about in the yellow fats category this past year, but Unilever's Omega-3 Plus Flora spread has provided a talking point. The company claims its spread, which it launched in May, contains a higher level of Omega-3 than any product in the category and will no doubt boost sales of what is already considered a healthy product. A £6m marketing campaign, including TV and press ads, and a consumer campaign fronted by Louise Redknapp, has built strong awareness of the product.
