Cross merchandising, dual siting and on pack promotions have been combined for a deal on Stella Artois. Interbrew UK and Asda have combined to link the premium lager with the multiple's range of ready meals. This permanent meal deal covers Mexican, Indian and Chinese food and encourages shoppers to buy a stubby six pack. The usual price of a meal deal for two is £5.99. This goes to £8.99 with the six pack, offering a £1 saving. Interbrew UK's sales director Steve Kitching said: "This will ensure Stella benefits from dual siting." Asda's marketing manager John Knight said: "A large number of people buy ready meals but don't pick up beer to go with them." {{DRINKS }}
