Aldi has appointed a new buying director for children's wear, sauces and pickles, pasta and rice.
Lucy Stickells joined the company in 2001 on its graduate training scheme as an area manager in Kent. After six years in that role she will now take on buying responsibilities for Aldi's 360 stores across the UK, as well as its stores in Ireland.
She will be hoping to contribute to Aldi's aggressive expansion plans.
Aldi is renowned for paying its graduate trainees handsomely, giving them a high degree of responsibility very early on and developing them through the business. It is the highest-ranked grocer on The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers list at number 12.
