Stonegate Farmers is hatching an egg brand to coincide with the launch of Chicken Run, a feature length animation set in a Yorkshire poultry farm from Nick Parks, the creator of Wallace and Gromit. Chicken Run eggs ­ which will be instore from mid April ­ have already been sold into 1,400 stores, with an initial distribution target of 2,500. Over the first 12 months the brand will carry four promotions based on the film. The first will offer consumers the chance to win sets of tickets to see Chicken Run at Virgin cinemas. This activity will be accompanied by pairs of character transfers that can be applied to the eggs with hot water. A second promotion in June will feature china egg cups carrying Chicken Run characters. {{P&P }}
