Sir; re your report (29 April, p49) that Guinness now accounts for 76% of the take home stout sector, and while the brand is growing by 16% year on year, its competitors are declining. Young's Double Chocolate Stout is a competitor, and is having a storming time, with sales up 35% on last year. OK, we may only have about 0.1% of the take home sector, but at least we're whipping their backside in sales growth! And where are their medals from the brewing industry this year? Exactly.
