Ranks Hovis McDougall has restructured its senior corporate management team to accommodate the creation of a dedicated strategic division.
Michael Schurch has moved from group financial director to the new post of group strategy director, reporting to group chief executive Ian McMahon.
Andrew Allner joins from foodservice equipment business Enodis, where he was CEO, replacing Schurch.
In addition, group services director Michael Woodmore is to retire on April 30. His responsibilities have been reallocated across the executive management team.
McMahon said: “Michael Schurch will continue to play a central role in the development of the group and I look forward to working closely with him in his new role.”
Referring to Allner, he said: “Andrew brings considerable experience in the financial, change management and business skills arenas.
McMahon added: “I would like to thank Michael Woodmore for the considerable contribution he has made during the 39 years he has been with the group.”
